Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor writer, director, and actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother, as well as an actress. She has two brothers: Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV, who has also acted. Evan and her brothers acted at Theatre In The Park, Raleigh and her father is the director. At the age of five she was screen-tested against Kirsten Dunst for the leading role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) following a lengthy audition process. With her mother and brother Ira, she moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since since then, she's had the success of television shows and movies on television, and feature films.
