Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
group was founded in the year 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt,
James Maslow and Logan Henderson. They first signed with Nick Records in 2009.
Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label. The group was
featured in Nickelodeon's TV series with the same title, Big Time Rush. From
November 28, 2009 through July 25 in 2013, the show ran. The pilot episode
featured the group’s first promo single, "Big Time Rush". The band
recorded three albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 , and 24/7 in 2013. In 2014,
the group took an indefinite break that lasted until 2021. The group then
returned to live shows and released "Call It Like I See The Album".
Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a record deal in 2009 simultaneously
with the television show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon joined forces with
Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to produce the show and to provide music
that was original to the series. For the series, their debut single, "Big
Time Rush" was released on the 29th on the 29th of November. The song was
officially revealed on Nickelodeon The song premiered in the U.S. November 2009
and was later aired worldwide. It was featured in a preview of the series for
an hour, and it is the opening song of the show. Promo singles, such as
"City is Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and more were released
during the show. Big Time Rush also covered the Play song "Famous"
and was written by the singer. The track was released on iTunes on June 29th,
2010. Following the premiere of the series, another song, "Halfway
There", became available on iTunes on April 27, 2010. It was the band's
first single to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93
thanks to digital sales. The second single from Big Time Rush, "Till You
Forget About You", was released on September 21 on the 21st of September.
This was to promote their debut album. On the 11th of October, 2010, the album,
called BTR was released to the public. The album reached the top 3 spot on
Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within the first week.
