Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took, she was ranked 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Her first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest participant in the 200 meter in the world championships that took place in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title the following year, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed within the top three throughout her events in the Olympics that took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
