Britney Jean Spears was born on the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a young girl, Britney attended dance classes and excelled in gymnastics, winning numerous contests and similar. Britney was a great performer and dancer. Britney applied for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at the age of 8. She was turned down due to her young age. The show then redirected her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for 2 years as the title character. She was back for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and this time playing an actual mouseketeer. Her breakthrough however, was when she was signed as Jive Recording Artist in the latter part of the 1990s. After the release of her debut album, "...Baby One More Time" in the beginning of 1999, Britney became an international success and sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as as of July 2001) of her sophomore album "Oops !...I Did It Again" that was released in May of 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was always destined to be an upcoming star at a young age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) at the age of was eight. But she was too old to be considered a suitable candidate. Britney along with her baby sister Britney, moved to New York, where she performed in a number of TV commercials as well as in an off Broadway play called "Ruthless" under the guidance of Natalie Portman. The love for dance and music took over and two years after, she auditioned for a part on "Mickey Mouse" again, and this time, was selected for the role with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
